Sadaf Restaurant – Modern Persian Cuisine
Location: Encino
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Ownership / Director of Operations

Position Overview:
Sadaf Restaurant is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations while upholding our standards of hospitality, consistency, and excellence in Modern Persian cuisine. The General Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing and developing teams, controlling costs, and ensuring smooth, profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities:
-Guest Experience & Operations
-Oversee all front- and back-of-house operations to ensure exceptional service and food quality
-Maintain Sadaf’s standards for hospitality, cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation
-Be visible and engaged on the floor during peak service hours
-Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
-Ensure consistency in service across all shifts and departments


Leadership & Team Management:
-Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing team members
-Create and manage staff schedules aligned with business volume and labor targets
-Coach, mentor, and discipline staff to uphold Sadaf’s service standards
-Conduct pre-shift meetings, ongoing training, and performance reviews
-Foster a respectful, accountable, and hospitality-focused culture
-Uphold Sadaf’s brand identity and guest experience standards


Financial & Cost Control:
-Manage labor costs, payroll, and scheduling to meet company targets
-Control food, beverage, and supply costs through proper ordering and inventory management
-Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and deposits
-Minimize waste and ensure proper portion control


Administrative & Systems Management:
-Oversee vendor relationships, ordering, and invoice approvals
-Ensure accurate reporting through POS, scheduling, and inventory systems
-Maintain proper documentation, licenses, and operational checklists
-Enforce company policies and procedures consistently


Compliance & Safety:
-Ensure compliance with health department, fire department, labor laws, and alcohol regulations
-Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
-Ensure all certifications and permits are current


Qualifications:
-3–5+ years restaurant management experience (General Manager preferred)
-Experience in upscale, high-volume, or full-service restaurants
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Proven ability to manage labor, food costs, and financial reports
-Guest-focused mindset with attention to detail
-Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
-POS, scheduling, and reporting software experience required
