Job Description

Park Avenue Catering is looking for an experienced Lead Pastry Chef.

Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lead role and be adept at high-quality, high-volume production of small pastries, tarts, cupcakes, cookies, pies and cakes.

Candidate should also be proficient with jams, curds, mousse, icings, breads and rolls, laminated doughs, pate a choux, candies, chocolates, and any special requests as needed. Must also be savvy with plated desserts.
Recipe development is also required.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a fluid, harmonious team and work environment, so you must have a good temperament and be a team player. Candidate must be able to work solo and be skilled at training their assistant.

Must be a self-starter experienced enough to hit the ground running and establish control and organization of the pastry department.
This is a very physical job so you must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 pounds.

A ServSafe food manager certificate is required.
Position is full-time with benefits.
