Classification: Non-Union / W2
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + project performance incentives (DOE)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and California-code-competent Experienced Electrician specializing in residential service, remodel, and luxury custom home electrical work. This role combines high technical proficiency with leadership, mentorship, and client-facing professionalism. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated field expertise in NEC/CEC code, safe work practices, troubleshooting, and high-attention-to-detail craftsmanship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Execution
• Perform amnd oversee residential electrical installations, repairs, upgrades, and retrofits
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide root-cause solutions
• Read, interpret, and mark up plans, one-lines, risers, and spec sheets
• Lay out, install, and terminate:
o Service panels & subpanels
o Lighting & controls (including LED, smart, dimming, architectural fixtures)
o Outlets, circuits, receptacles, switches
o Dedicated appliance circuits
o EV charger circuits and load calcs
o Transfer switches & generators (as applicable)
o Low-voltage coordination (AV, data, security) with trades
• Perform accurate load calculations per NEC/CEC
• Ensure installations meet or exceed local AHJ standards (city, county, utility)
• Coordinate with inspectors for permitting sign-offs

Leadership & Coordination
• Lead and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians
• Create daily/weekly work plans and job sequencing
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, GCs, PMs, designers, and inspectors
• Train workforce on safety, code compliance, and best practices
• Manage material lists, vendor orders, lighting schedules, and procurement requests
Documentation / Compliance
• Maintain redlines, as-builts, panel schedules, labeling, and circuit directories
• Prepare inspection paperwork, permit support, and utility documentation
• Document T&M work with photos, notes, and material logs
• Maintain clean jobsites and adhere to OSHA & company safety protocols

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years residential electrical experience (service + remodel required)
• Master Electrician or equivalent high-level experience toward C-10 license
• Deep understanding of:
o NEC / California Electrical Code
o Local building & energy standards (Title 24)
o Permit & inspection processes
• Proficiency with:
o Test equipment (multimeters, megger, circuit tracers, etc.)
o Modern lighting systems & control tech
o EV charging equipment
• Valid CA Driver’s License + clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in attics/crawl spaces, and perform physical field work

• Home automation / smart lighting (Lutron, Control4, Savant, Ketra, etc.)
• Generator / ATS integration

• Lighting design literacy / fixture schedules / appliance specs

• Ability to create material takeoffs & Estimates
• English + Spanish bilingual capability
