Full-Time Crate Builder – Art Handling
We are seeking a full-time, experienced crate builder to fabricate custom wooden crates for fine art, furniture, and antiques. This position supports professional art handling and requires precision, care, and an understanding that the contents are often irreplaceable.
Applicants must have proven woodworking or carpentry experience and be comfortable working independently in a professional art-handling environment.

Key Responsibilities
Build custom wooden crates designed specifically for fine art, antiques, and high-value furniture
Measure, cut, and assemble crates with tight tolerances and strong structural integrity
Ensure proper protection of delicate and valuable objects
Use shop tools safely and efficiently
Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, cleanliness, and organization
Work with care and accuracy—
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or custom fabrication, cabinet making,
Excellent measurement skills; must be highly accurate with a tape measure
Proficient with professional tools, including:
Table saw
Chop saw
Pneumatic nail and staple guns
Ability to work independently and follow specifications.
Strong attention to detail and respect for fragile, high-value items
Strongly Preferred
Experience building crates for fine art, exhibitions, museums, or galleries
Background in furniture making, cabinetry, or finish carpentry
Familiarity with packing or handling artwork, antiques, or collectibles
Experience working in an art handling, museum, or logistics environment
