Machine Shop Driver and Shop Help

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to manage local logistics for our high-precision machine shop. In this role, you are the face of our company to our customers and vendors. You will be responsible for the safe transport of high-value aerospace and medical components, ensuring that every delivery is handled with care and that documentation remains accurate to our ISO and AS standards.

The Schedule
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Overtime: Regular overtime is available based on performance

Key Responsibilities
Local Deliveries & Pickups: Operate a company vehicle to transport parts, raw materials, and tooling to and from vendors (plating, heat treat, etc.) and customers.
Loading & Unloading: Safely load and secure cargo to prevent damage; unload deliveries at the shop and vendor locations.
Shipping/Receiving Support: Verify that part counts match packing slips and work orders during pickups and deliveries.
Quality & Traceability: Maintain strict organization of paperwork, ensuring that all quality certifications and routers remain with their respective lots of parts.
Vehicle Care: Perform basic daily vehicle inspections (fluids, tire pressure) and keep the company vehicle clean and fueled.

Physical & License Requirements
Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR check will be performed).
Lifting: Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull crates or material weighing up to 50 lbs.
Stamina: Ability to stay active throughout the shift, including loading/unloading and securing cargo.

Requirements
Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and vendors.
Detail-Oriented: Accuracy is critical for verifying counts and keeping ISO/AS documentation in order.
Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are required for a 7:00 AM start.
Experience: Previous experience as a commercial driver or in a logistics/warehouse role is preferred.
