Seeking a skilled and dependable Hooklift Truck Operator to join our growing team in Santa Cruz County. This is a local position focused on hauling materials and equipment between job sites and supporting field operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Class B or Class A CDL, has experience operating hooklift trucks, and is comfortable assisting with equipment loading, transport, and general job-site tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a hooklift truck (33,000 GVW and potentially higher when towing)

Transport materials, equipment, and roll-off containers to and from job sites

Load and unload containers safely and efficiently

Assist with moving, loading, and operating equipment such as skid steers and excavators

Support job-site operations as needed, including light labor and coordination with crews

Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain equipment in safe working condition

Qualifications

Valid Class B or Class A CDL

Experience operating hooklift trucks or similar heavy equipment

Experience moving or operating skid steers, excavators, or similar machinery

Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Willingness to assist with job-site tasks beyond driving when needed

Compensation

$25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience
