Chef de Cuisine
Cigar Bar & Grill – San Francisco (Montgomery Street)
Cigar Bar & Grill is a well-established, high-energy bar and grill in San Francisco’s Financial District, known for bold flavors, a classic Pan-Latin menu, and a fast-paced service environment. We are seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead daily kitchen operations and work closely with ownership and management to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Oversee ordering, inventory, food cost control, and waste reduction
Train, mentor, and supervise BOH staff; schedule and lead shifts
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Collaborate on menu execution, specials, and seasonal offerings
Thrive in a high-volume service environment while maintaining standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years experience in a leadership kitchen role (Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or Executive Sous)
Strong background in American bar & grill or full-service restaurant concepts
Proven ability to manage food costs, labor, and inventory
Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
ServSafe certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain)
