We are a growing electrical supply company expanding into in-house manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced metal fabrication professional to help establish, optimize, and train our team on fabrication processes supporting electrical equipment and assemblies.
This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience who enjoys building systems, mentoring others, and being involved in the full fabrication process, from raw material to finished components. This could be a project-based, part-time, or full-time role, with long-term potential for the right fit.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate press brake and related fabrication equipment
• Establish and document fabrication processes and best practices
• Train and mentor shop personnel on:
-Press brake operation and setup
-Tooling selection and bend calculations
-Blueprint and drawing interpretation
-Quality control and inspection methods
• Support fabrication of components such as:
-Metal brackets
-Copper or aluminum bus
-Panelboard and switchgear components
• Assist with shop layout, workflow efficiency, and safety practices
• Perform or oversee basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work closely with management to help grow and scale manufacturing capabilities

Required Experience & Skills
• Extensive experience in metal fabrication, preferably in electrical or industrial applications.
• Strong background operating and setting up press brakes (CNC and/or manual).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication prints.
• Solid understanding of:
-Sheet metal forming
-Bend allowances and deductions
-Material types including steel, stainless, aluminum, and copper
• Experience working across the entire fabrication lifecycle, from raw material through finished components.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of processes, and mentoring others.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CNC press brake controls, such as Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, Bystronic, Accurpress, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with back gauge programming, tooling selection, and setup optimization.
• Experience fabricating components for:
-Switchgear
-Panelboards
-Electrical enclosures
-Industrial power equipment
• Prior experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory role.
• Spanish-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
