Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior Electronics Technician is responsible for carrying out more advanced electronic repairs and projects as assigned by
the assigned Technical Department Manager. They are to assist customers with troubleshooting via phone and email, and
assist customers in store.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for bench testing marine electronics products.
Diagnose and repair marine electronic equipment.
Organize and sort incoming inventory in a timely manner.
Provide customer support via phone and email during business hours pre and post-sale as needed.
Clean, photograph and list tested equipment to MME website and eBay store.
Create accurate, dynamic, and thoughtful product descriptions in accordance with company and eBay regulations.
Operate various lift trucks and material handling equipment as necessary to complete job requirements.
Sanding, Grinding and minor fabrication of existing and new parts to aide in the repair process.
Maintain a safe work area.
Assist other staff members or teams as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies:
Working knowledge of AC-DC Theory
Meticulous attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Mechanically inclined
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Experience with Low Voltage Electricity
Knowledge of basic hand tools
Experience building and terminating various network and video cables
Working familiarity with NMEA0183, NMEA2000, and Serial Data
Working Conditions:
Bench repairs daily
Brand new air conditioned office space and warehouse
Occasionally required to work outside of normal working hours
Mandatory fulltime 40 working hours weekly (8:30 am-5:00 pm Mon-Fri) with optional OT
Physical requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, repetitive movement, stairs/ladders, operating heavy machinery, lifting of objects up to 75lbs
Benefits:
After 60 days medical & dental paid at 70% and options to add vision, disability, additional life policies, and GAP
