Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Contract Administrator to manage contracts across our construction and development operations. This role is critical to ensuring contracts are accurate, compliant, organized, and aligned with project execution, risk management, and financial controls.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, and experienced in construction or professional services contracts.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and administer contracts with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants
- Track contract lifecycle: execution, amendments, change orders, renewals, and close-out
- Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, licensing, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with operations, project managers, accounting, and legal counsel
- Maintain organized digital contract records and version control
- Prepare summaries of key terms, scope, pricing, timelines, and risk items
- Support negotiations and manage redlines and revisions
- Monitor contract compliance related to scope, billing, timelines, and deliverables
- Assist with dispute documentation, claims support, and audit readiness

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in contract administration, construction administration, or legal operations
- Strong understanding of business and construction contract structures
- Excellent organizational and document-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Project management tools (contract management software a plus)

Preferred Experience
- Construction, electrical, low-voltage, or real-estate development background
- Familiarity with subcontractor agreements, change orders, lien releases, insurance certificates
- Experience working with attorneys or compliance teams
- Understanding of California construction regulations is a plus
