Real Estate Underwriter Acquisitions Analyst

Ascended is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Underwriter / Auction Acquisitions Analyst to identify, underwrite, and bid on properties through online and in-person auction platforms. This role is responsible for analyzing deals, submitting bids on behalf of the company, and tracking all bid activity and underwriting data with accuracy and discipline.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in spreadsheets, and confident evaluating property values, renovation costs, and risk in fast-paced auction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite residential properties using ARV, renovation costs, holding costs, and exit strategies
Research properties listed on auction platforms and submit bids according to company guidelines
Track all bids, outcomes, and deal data in structured spreadsheets
Maintain underwriting models and ensure pricing accuracy
Coordinate property access, including lockboxes, showings, and realtor communication
Work with agents, field reps, and vendors to gather photos, walkthroughs, and repair estimates
Communicate bid results and potential acquisitions to the acquisitions and operations teams
Stay organized across multiple active bids, deadlines, and auction schedules
Required Skills & Experience
Experience underwriting real estate investment deals
Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
Ability to analyze ARV, comps, repair costs, and margins
Comfortable navigating auction websites and time-sensitive bidding environments
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
Excellent organization and follow-through
Preferred Experience
Experience bidding on foreclosure, REO, or auction properties
Familiarity with real estate investment formulas and deal analysis
Experience coordinating access with realtors, lockboxes, or field services
