General Manager for RV resort on Shasta Lake

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our RV resort located in Lakehead, CA. Our resort is on Shasta Lake and features 40 RV sites, 11 cabins, pool, as well as a full restaurant and bar with a large patio overlooking the lake. You will have one of the nicest lakeside offices in California!

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience at a similar RV/cabin resort and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing a diverse team, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a welcoming environment for all guests. Multilingual abilities and supervisory experience are highly valued to enhance guest relations and team coordination.

Duties

- Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including front desk management, guest services, and hospitality functions
- Lead and supervise staff across departments such as human resources, guest relations, and maintenance
- Manage revenue streams through effective budgeting, revenue management, and cost control strategies
- Ensure high standards of customer service by implementing training programs on phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and guest interactions
- Coordinate night audit procedures and oversee security protocols to maintain safety and operational integrity overnight
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote the resort and increase occupancy rates
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations
- Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Supervise the front desk operations, including reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and managing multi-line phone systems

Experience

- Proven supervisory experience in RV park management roles, preferably within a full service resort setting with amenities
- Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, and human resources practices
- Extensive knowledge of RV resort operations including guest services, front desk management, night audit procedures, and property management systems
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Prior experience with guest relations and RV resort management is essential
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and tact
