Job Description
Café Vivant is a new fine-dining restaurant in Menlo Park, CA, striving for the top echelon of service and hospitality. We are hiring all FOH and BOH roles. This listing is for:
Assistant General Manager (AGM) – to serve as the right hand to the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring flawless execution of service, standards, and systems. This role is for a disciplined, highly organized individual who thrives in a structured environment and can implement processes exactly as directed. Punctuality, follow-through, and organizational aptitude are non-negotiable requirements.
Primary duties:
-Govern service under the dictate of the General Manager
-Support the General Manager in administrative tasks
-Set the tone for professionalism during service
-Troubleshoot service issues in real time
-Complete daily operational and sales reports
-Write and maintain the weekly schedule
-Monitor pars and order smallwares and service items
Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years of FOH experience, including at least 1 year in a management role
-Ability to thrive under pressure
-Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
-Calm, decisive, and professional mentality
Compensation:
Competitive, based on experience, $75k–$95k
