Job Description

Grand Lake Kitchen is opening GLK Noe Valley, and we’re looking for a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to help launch and lead the kitchen. This role is for someone who knows how to run a clean, organized, high-energy kitchen and enjoys building a team from the ground up.

You’ll be closely involved in opening, training, and setting the tone for daily operations — quality food, solid systems, and a respectful, supportive kitchen culture.

What You’ll Do

Run day-to-day kitchen operations during prep and service
Lead, train, and support the BOH team
Maintain food quality, consistency, and standards
Manage ordering, inventory, and food cost control
Build schedules and help manage labor
Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance
Work closely with ownership and FOH leadership
Help establish systems for a successful opening and beyond
What We’re Looking For

Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role
Strong organizational and people skills
Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments
A calm, professional leadership style
Passion for good food and taking care of your team
