Job Description
Are you a young adult (current college student or recent graduate) with a passion for leadership, education, and cultural exchange? Our local educational organization is seeking motivated young adults to lead small groups of elementary~high school students from Japan in immersive activities that promote English practice and explore Hawaii's rich history, culture, and people.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an English-Speaking Leader, you will be guiding a group of 5-10 Japanese students (elementary-high school) through fun, educational activities designed to improve their English skills and introduce them to Hawaii's diverse culture. Our programs are hosted throughout the year, so you can sign up for the sessions that fit your schedule—no need to commit to every event!
AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
PROGRAM 1 - January 12, 2026 (Monday)
Report time & location: Between 7:00 am ~ 8:30 am at Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel Lobby
Dismissal time & location: Between 4:00 pm ~ 5:30 pm at Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel Lobby
Activity: Holoholo Adventure - lead your assigned group of students on an adventure throughout the Waikiki, UHM, Ala Moana, and Downtown Honolulu areas via TheBus (City Bus), solving various puzzles and missions. The first group to complete missions or get the most points will have access to "hidden treasure!"
Preparations: Download the TurfHunt app, and be knowledgeable on how to use the city bus
Lunch: $20 flat rate reimbursement
Pay: $20.00/hour
PROGRAM 2 - January 28, 2026 (WEDNESDAY)
Report time & location: 7:15 am at UH Manoa
Dismissal time & location: 12:45 pm at UH Manoa
Activity: Project Paradise - Students will learn about Hawaii's people, culture, and history through discussions and activities with LbE Hawaii Leaders. This program will include lei making, and LbE Hawaii Leaders will get to learn more about Osaka or the students' school life in Osaka.
Preparations: Must prepare the "Hale Aloha" presentation, a cultural presentation by LbE Hawaii Leaders
Lunch: Bento provided
Pay: $17.00/hour
PROGRAM 3 - February 9, 2026 (Monday)
Report time & location: 9:30 am at Honolulu Airport
Dismissal time & location: 5:15 pm at Ala Moana Hotel
Activity: Escort elementary school students to a Christian church and participate in various activities with them, and go on a hike up Diamond Head.
Preparations: Must be in good physical condition to hike up and down Diamond Head, and must not be sensitive in joining religious activities (e.g. worship and prayer). Must have experience in working with young children.
Parking: Suggest to park at Ala Moana hotel, and take TheBus to the airport.
Lunch: Bento provided
Pay: $17.00/hour
PROGRAM 4 - February 10, 2026 (Tuesday)
Report time & location: Between 7:30 am ~ 8:00 am at Ala Moana Hotel
Dismissal time & location: Between 3:15 pm ~ 3:45 pm at Ala Moana Hotel
Activity: Project Paradise - Students will learn about Hawaii's people, culture, and history through discussions and activities with LbE Hawaii Leaders. Leaders must also lead a campus-wide Scavenger Hunt, and exciting "carnival game booths" for the students!
Preparations: Must prepare the "Hale Aloha" presentation, a cultural presentation by LbE Hawaii Leaders, and must have experience in working with children. Must know how to use the city bus.
Lunch: $20 flat reimbursement
Pay: $17.00/hour
PROGRAM 5 - February 11, 2026 (Wednesday)
Report time & location: 7:45 am at Ala Moana Hotel
Dismissal time & location: 5:15 pm at Ala Moana Hotel
Activity: Half group rotations between a Holoholo Adventure activity in the Ala Moana and Waikiki area, then escort students through Pearl Harbor and the Battleship Missouri.
Preparations: Lots of walking required for this program. You must be in good physical condition! You should also have a good knowledge of WWII history and Pearl Harbor.
Lunch: Bento provided
Pay: $17.00/hour
PROGRAM 6 - February 13, 2026 (Friday)
Report time & location: 8:00 am at UH Manoa
Dismissal time & location: 4:45 pm at UH Manoa
Activity: Fieldwork, you might need to dress into clothing you do not mind getting dirty.
Lunch: Bento or lunch money provided
Pay: $17.00/hour
PROGRAM 7 - February 14, 2026 (Saturday)
Report time & location: 8:00 am at UH Manoa
Dismissal time & location: 5:15 pm at UH Manoa
Activity: Project Paradise, Holoholo Adventure
Preparations: Project Paradise: you must prepare a Hale Aloha presentation, download Turf Hunt app. Holoholo Adventure: you must download the Actionbound app.

PROGRAM 8 - February 16, 2026 (Monday) [US HOLIDAY]
Report time & location: 8:00 am at UH Manoa
Dismissal time & location: 12:15 pm at UH Manoa
Activity: Reflection and group presentation activities relating to the activities done on 2/13 & 2/14
Lunch: NONE
Pay: $17.00/hour
OTHER COMPENSATION IN ADDITION TO ABOVE:
+one time-1 hour Zoom orientation
+one time-1 hour of presentation prep time
