Job Description

The Field Service Coordinator is the central hub for field service operations, acting as the primary link between customers, field technicians, and internal departments. They are responsible for dispatching personnel to client sites, managing technician schedules, processing work orders, and ensuring high-quality, efficient, and timely service delivery. The role requires exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects, often in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch and Scheduling: Schedule, dispatch, and monitor field service technicians for installation, delivery and repair jobs, optimizing routes and maximizing productivity.

Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling incoming service requests, providing updates, and resolving customer complaints or queries.

Work Order Management: Create, open, monitor, and close out service/repair work orders, ensuring accuracy in parts usage, labor hours, and technical documentation.

Logistics & Inventory: Collaborate with production department to ensure technicians have necessary equipment, tools and inventory for their assignments.

Document Administration: Prepare quotes, review service reports for accuracy and submit completed work orders to Accounting for invoicing.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a technical field preferred.

Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in service coordination, dispatch, construction or manufacturing

Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Experience with Field Service Management (FSM) software

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, field technicians, and management.

Key Skills and Competencies

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve scheduling conflicts and unexpected service disruptions.

Organization: Excellent multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.

Working Conditions

In office role, work schedule is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday requiring long periods of sitting and computer work.
