Job Description
Harvest Kitchen is a high-end, successful organic event catering company based in North County San Diego. We cater all over Southern California and need some amazing FOH Captains to join our team to help execute our weddings and events flawlessly!
Harvest Kitchen is made up of a team of dedicated creatives, focused on maintaining our 5-star reviews for all our weddings. We work at some of the coolest venues and create amazing food + experiences.
The main purpose of the FOH Captain is to supervise the staff, operations, and guests at an event (most often weddings) and execute all details from the Job Sheet (BEO) utilizing the serving staff. This position requires meeting at our prep kitchen in Vista, CA, driving a company van, and unloading that van at the end of each event. The events could be in San Diego County or the Desert. The shifts range between 8-14 hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manager on-site team of servers and platers
-Ensure all staff is dressed according to HK attire standards, are on-time, and working efficiently
-Review the BEO/Job sheet and menu prior to event day
-Ensure all details from the BEO are executed flawlessly (timeline, dietary restrictions, service)
-Communicate directly with event planner, venue manager, and bridal party
-Drive the company van to and from the event
-Match professional dress code for Captains
-Complete post-event survey to share with leadership
SCHEDULE
-Events are typically weddings held Saturday, or some Fridays and Sundays, from 1p-11p
-You are responsible for picking up shifts via our scheduling app When I Work
-Shifts are posted well in advance. Dropping of shifts is frowned upon, if you pickup a Captain shift you are expected to work it
SKILLS
-A team player with a super positive, calm attitude, who can inspire and lead
-Proven leader who can manager with respect and kindness
-Meticulous, and pay close attention to details
-A great driver with a clean record, not afraid to drive a food truck
-Must have hospitality management experience
-Serving/Hosting or hospitality experience
-Valid driver's license, Ability to lift up to 30lbs
We have a very fun, professional, family vibe at Harvest Kitchen.
Hourly starting rate is $25/hr, tips are paid on a biweekly paycheck. Eligible for overtime.
