Part-Time Personal Assistant (Film Director / Producer) – Westwood
A working film director and producer based in Westwood, Los Angeles is seeking a part-time personal assistant.
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Part-time, flexible but consistent
Location: Westwood (in person)
This role supports the day-to-day functioning of a busy creative professional. The work is practical and hands-on and includes laundry, dishes, light cleaning, running errands, grocery shopping, and refilling a cold plunge, along with general household upkeep.
This is not a glamorous job. It is operational support. However, for the right person, it is also a relationship-building opportunity inside the film industry.
The assistant will occasionally be invited to sit in on meetings and Zoom calls with high-level industry executives, creatives, and artists, offering real exposure to how projects are developed and discussed at a professional level. For someone serious about film, this role can lead to a full-time assistant position on the director’s next film.
Ideal Candidate:
This position is best suited for someone who wants to become a writer, director, or producer, and understands that proximity to the work often starts with support. You should be reliable, discreet, organized, and comfortable handling everyday household tasks without expectation of glamour or shortcuts. Professionalism and consistency matter more than résumé credits.
Experience as a personal assistant or in production is helpful but not required.
Preferred (but not required):
Familiarity with ChatGPT and Canva is a plus, especially for occasional light creative or organizational tasks.
