Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Warmly greet guests, present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations.
Order Taking & Delivery: Accurately record food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and deliver items to tables.
Table Maintenance: Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and service areas, including clearing dishes and resetting tables.
Communication: Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and handle special dietary needs or requests.
Transactions: Present checks, handle cash/credit transactions, and ensure accurate billing.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Previous food service or hospitality experience is often preferred.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift trays.
Multitasking: Capability to manage multiple tables simultaneously.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Certifications: Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) may be required.
Typical Working Conditions
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Fast-paced environment requiring professionalism under pressure.
