SAT/SUN A.M. Nursing Assistant (CNA preferred, not required)

PART-TIME NURSING ASSISTANT NEEDED

35 years ago, I had an accident leaving me quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down. I am married and blessed with a close family and great friends. I am in need of a kind and cheerful caregiver to assist me with ADLs (activities of daily living) – stretching, toilet assistance, showering, dressing, cooking & keeping the house organized.

This has proven to be EXCELLENT experience for those considering the medical field. We have former student caregivers who are now Registered Nurses at Providence Mission Hospital, UCI Medical Center, Providence St. Jude Hospital and more. Their experience with us has served them well!

Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
$25/hour

Qualities Necessary:
values helping people
interested in anatomy and medical care
enjoys a variety of tasks, not the exact same thing every day
prompt and reliable
must be physically fit because the first hour of shift is physical
CA driver’s license with good driving record

Duties Include:
range of motion (stretching)
bladder and bowel care
transfer patient from bed to shower chair with a Hoyer lift. Patient is 5'5"/165 lbs.
showering (every other day)
dressing
brushing/flossing teeth
some meal preparation
general help around the house (laundry, paperwork, etc.)
some driving (we use my wheelchair accessible 2020 Toyota minivan

Travel available if you are interested, but not required.

We provide excellent training.
