Hiring Street Sweeper Operator

You will be responsible for operating street sweeping equipment to clean streets, most often construction sites. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance on the equipment, completing a daily inspection log and reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Member of Local 12 Operators preferred. You will be required to become a member of Local 12 prior to operating any equipment.
• Valid Class A driver’s license or Class B with an air brakes endorsement required.
• Clean driving record.
• MUST HAVE STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating street sweeping equipment required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Physical ability to operate equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions: The Street Sweeper Operator will work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The operator will be required to work early morning or late-night shifts to avoid heavy traffic. The operator may also be required to work weekends and holidays. Our yard is located in Lakeside, CA however, projects are located throughout San Diego County.

Salary and Benefits: We are signatory to Operators Local 12 therefore, you will be paid the current rate based on DIR wages. Benefits will be available to you through the union.
