Job Description

We are seeking an experienced prep cook/ sous chef at our Mediterranean Restaurant Urban FRAiche Phoenix AZ.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Ingredient Preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, fruits, cheese, and meats.
Station Setup: Setting up workstations, ensuring all tools are sanitized and available.
Inventory Management: Rotating, stocking, labeling, and storing food items according to safety standards.
Basic Cooking: Preparing sauces, dressings, marinades, and simple dishes.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Knife Skills: Proficiency in using, maintaining, and handling knives safely.
Speed and Efficiency: Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring consistent, high-quality preparation.
Knowledge of Safety: Familiarity with sanitation, food handling, and hygiene standards, such as ServSafe.
Communication: Following directions from chefs, line cooks, or kitchen managers.
