Position Overview The Beverage Director is responsible for leading all wine and beverage operations at The Club while maintaining a strong on-floor presence during service. This role serves as the primary beverage authority, combining hands-on sommelier service with bar management, beverage ordering, inventory control, staff leadership, and floor management responsibilities. In addition to working the floor as a sommelier, this position oversees the bar and wine programs, supports service standards across all departments, and acts as a closing floor manager when required. The Beverage Director reports directly to the Club Director and plays a key role in shaping The Club’s guest experience, service culture, and operational excellence. Key Qualities & Requirements Minimum 2+ years experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or private members clubs Strong wine knowledge with sommelier certification or equivalent experience preferred Proven leadership and supervisory skills with comfort managing service teams Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, detail-driven service environment Strong communication, teaching, and sales skills Solid working knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and food pairings Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail Professional, warm, and guest-focused demeanor Korean language is a plus, but not mandatory.  Core ResponsibilitiesWine & Beverage Leadership Lead all wine service on the floor, delivering elevated, engaging, and thoughtful guest interactions Uphold and execute beverage service standards aligned with The Club’s style and identity Oversee all beverage ordering, including wine, spirits, beer, and bar supplies Maintain accurate pars, inventory levels, and cellar organization Ensure beverage products are prepared and served according to established standards and recipes Monitor beverage usage, waste, and efficiency in coordination with F&B leadership Service & Floor Management Work the floor during service as Lead Sommelier, supporting guest experience and service flow Act as a closing manager when scheduled, overseeing staff, service execution, and end-of-night procedures Support and manage FOH staff during service, ensuring consistency, timing, and hospitality standards Address guest needs and concerns promptly, professionally, and discreetly Create and submit guest notes and service feedback following closing shifts Training & Team Development Lead ongoing wine and beverage training for service staff Coach and mentor junior sommeliers and FOH team members Support onboarding and development of new hires Reinforce service culture, professionalism, and hospitality values throughout the team Operational Excellence Ensure sommelier stations, wine stations, and bar areas are properly set, stocked, and broken down each shift Maintain cleanliness and organization of all beverage-related areas Review menus for changes, specials, and 86’d items prior to service Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management regarding menu details, timing, and product availability Accurately enter beverage orders into the POS system at time of service Assist with clearing, resetting, and maintaining smooth service flow as needed Guest Experience & Standards Greet and engage guests warmly, building rapport and long-term loyalty Confidently describe menu items, culinary style, and beverage pairings Anticipate guest needs and respond with care, discretion, and efficiency Ensure guests are served within appropriate time standards Maintain exceptional personal presentation, grooming, and professionalism Thank and farewell guests warmly, reinforcing anticipation for their return Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry wine cases, ice, and beverage supplies Ability to stand and move for extended periods during service Compensation $70k-$85k plus Commission (Based off beverage sales) Health Benefits offered
