Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and professional individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Specialists. In this role, you will ensure safe, comfortable, and timely transportation for patients with varying mobility needs, including those requiring stretcher or wheelchair assistance. You will represent Semazi with the highest degree of courtesy, safety, and professionalism.



Key Responsibilities

Safely transport patients between medical facilities, residences, and other destinations using company vehicles.
Assist patients with safe transfers, including from hospital beds to gurneys or wheelchairs, utilizing appropriate equipment such as Stryker Power Cots.
Communicate effectively with patients, facility staff, and dispatch via phone, tablet, and GPS software.
Adhere to all safety protocols, vehicle operation guidelines, and patient privacy standards.
Work both independently and as part of a two-person transport team when required.
Provide exceptional customer service while interacting respectfully with patients, including those with disabilities.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete necessary pre- and post-trip inspections.





Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 26 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
Proven experience in passenger transport or a healthcare-related field.
Capable of lifting and moving 100+ lbs and assisting with patient transfers.
Comfortable operating large Ford Transit vans for shifts of 8+ hours.
Willing to work varied shifts, including weekends, overnights, and on-call rotations (one weekend per quarter).
Available to work in a 365-day/year operation.




Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of direct patient transport experience in a medical setting.
Background in healthcare (CNA, EMT, medical assistant, etc.).
Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

Full-time, with variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
