Live-In Caregiver for Male Quadriplegic-$2,500-$3,000/month + Housing

I’m a mid-30s quadriplegic man and graduate student living in North Hollywood. I live with my mother, and we share a quiet, well-organized home. We also have a friendly 3-year-old Cavapoo and a two-year-old orange cat, so comfort around pets is a must. This is a rare combination: a salaried caregiving position with free, private housing, a predictable and limited-hour schedule, and genuine stability. Se habla español tambien.

This is a part-time (between 25-30 hours a week), salaried, live-in position. Your core responsibilities are my morning and nighttime routines — that’s it. I have other caregivers covering afternoons and evenings, which means your schedule is well-bounded and your free time is genuinely free.

Daily Schedule:
Morning Routine — Mon–Fri | ~3–5 hours
Helping me get up and ready for the day: stretching, bathing, toileting, dressing, wheelchair transfers, and light related housekeeping like laundry and tidying.

Nighttime Routine — Sun–Thu | ~30–45 min
Wheelchair-to-bed transfer and nighttime personal care.

Occasional overnight on-call support if my mom needs to travel (you’d be sleeping — just available if needed). Help with appointments or outings from time to time. Valid driver’s license is required.

$2,500–$3,000/month salary based on experience
Private 600 sq. ft. ADU — bedroom, kitchen, full bathroom

Who’s a Great Fit:
Prior experience caring for a quadriplegic or spinal cord injury (strongly preferred)
Comfortable with wheelchair transfers — Hoyer lift experience is a plus
Reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of boundaries
Professional but warm — this is someone’s home, not a facility
Comfortable around pets
Willing to pass a background check and provide references.
