Shipping &_Receiving/ Inventory Specialist
Job Description:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:300 AM to 4:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
Location: Ontario, CA
Compensation: $19.00 per hour (Negotiable dependent on experience)
Reports to: S & R Lead
Key Role and Expectations:
The Inventory Specialist will oversee the accurate tracking, organization, and flow of materials and products within the warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring production, installation, and sales teams have the right products, in the right place, at the right time. The Inventory Specialist will help reduce waste, prevent shortages, and maintain compliance with company standards and safety regulations. This position plays a key role in ensuring organized warehouse operations and accurate shipments, while also supporting production during downtime. This position will work hand in hand with our Shipping & Receiving Department.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate counts of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products (e.g., vinyl, padding foam, netting, hardware, grommets, adhesives).
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Enter, update, and monitor inventory in the company's tracking system (manual logs & spreadsheets).
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments of materials.
• Communicate low-stock or out-of-stock issues promptly to supervisors and purchasing.
• Work with production and warehouse leads to improve organization, labeling, and storage systems.
• Support shipping/receiving, staging, and job site preparation as needed.
• Follow all Cal/OSHA safety requirements, including safe handling of tools and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, cutting tools).
• Assist with year-end inventory counts, audits, and reporting.
Required:
• 1+ years of inventory, warehouse, or materials management experience.
• 1+ years' experience in Shipping & Receiving.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
• Clear communication skills.
• Forklift Certification or experience (Stand up reach and sit down).
