Job Title: Kitchen Helper (Kitchen Assistant)
Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen workflow and high standards of hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients)

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and storage areas

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans

Dispose of garbage and maintain waste areas

Receive and store food supplies properly

Refill supplies and organize inventory

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Support cooks and chefs during meal preparation

Sweep and mop floors as needed

Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen staff

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs

Team player with good communication skills

Attention to cleanliness and organization

Willingness to learn and take direction

Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset but not required
