Job Description
We are looking for a sharp, fast-moving Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator who thrives when the phones are ringing nonstop and things are moving quickly.
This is not a slow-paced, one-call-at-a-time position.
You will be handling back-to-back incoming calls, often juggling multiple people at once, taking rapid notes, and keeping many jobs on track simultaneously.
Core responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of incoming calls (frequently overlapping / consecutive)
Quickly capture critical details from customers, drivers, or vendors
Enter and update jobs/orders in the system while still on the phone
Proactively follow up with customers, drivers, and vendors (phone + email)
Send clear, professional emails and text messages
Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments, deliveries, or service times
Track real-time job status and keep all parties updated
Handle questions, changes, complaints, and urgent adjustments calmly
We need someone who:
Actually enjoys (or at least handles well) constant phone activity
Can listen, speak, type, and think simultaneously
Types quickly and accurately (heavy typing-while-talking)
Has excellent follow-through — promises made get kept
Switches tasks fast without losing track of details
Writes polite, clear, professional emails under time pressure
Stays organized in a constantly changing environment
Keeps a calm, confident tone even during busy or stressful moments
Helpful but not required:
Prior dispatcher experience (towing, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, pest control, restoration, field service, freight, etc.)
Familiarity with dispatch/scheduling software or CRM systems
Comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
Bilingual (English + Spanish) is a strong plus in Tucson
Schedule:
Full-time
40 hours/week
Shifts may include early morning, daytime, or evening hours
Occasional weekend availability (rotating)
Pay:
$18–$25/hr depending on experience + performance bonuses possible after 90 days
To apply:
Reply to this posting with:
“Tucson Dispatcher – [Your First Name]” in the subject line
A short note telling us:
Rough estimate of how many calls per hour/day you’ve handled in past roles
One sentence about why you do well in fast-paced phone environments
Your phone number
Attach or paste a resume if you have one (not required for first reply)
Serious applicants only. We reply quickly to qualified candidates.
