A General Contracting firm located in Torrance, CA specializing in building high-end custom homes is looking for a qualified Full Charge Bookkeeper.

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.

Job Duties:
Prepare customer invoicing
Data entry into company specific spreadsheets
Download/Input bank account transactions
Download/Input credit card transactions
Reconcile monthly bank and credit card activity
Prepare and record journal entries
Answer telephone/handle calls as needed
Reconcile General & Payroll Accounts & Credit Card Accounts
Perform other duties as assigned

Must have extensive knowledge of:
QuickBooks
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Word

Position Qualifications
Applicant must have/be:
Minimum of 4 years bookkeeping experience
Excellent personal credit
Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
Have excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent personal and professional references
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Clear knowledge of Financial Reporting, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements
Experience working with payroll services including ADP, Paychex, Intuit
Clear knowledge of Financial & Payroll including Tax Liability Payments & Reporting

Knowledge of the following is a plus:
Residential Construction
Architectural/Interior design
Residential construction estimating
Bilingual Spanish/English
Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation audits
Management and maintenance of computers, phones, and peripherals
Knowledge of T-Sheets employee tracking software

Hourly Rate:
$35 to $40 an hour depending on experience

Other Details:
This is a full-time position
This is an at will position
