Job Description

Now Hiring: ExpeditorJoin our team and play a key role in keeping materials, production processes, and customer deliveries on track in a fast-paced, highly regulated aerospace environment. In this role, you’ll support our Planning Department and work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure smooth, efficient manufacturing operations. This is not an entry-level position—we’re seeking someone with at least 2 years of experience in expediting or a similar role within a manufacturing company, including frequent customer interaction and providing accurate part-status updates.If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a collaborative, high-impact team, we’d love to learn more about you!Duties/ResponsibilitiesCoordinate material flow and production processes to meet customer delivery schedules. Work with Production and Purchasing teams to resolve material shortages, delays, and bottlenecks.Create and release print packages, material requests, and production orders.Track, update, and optimize inventory levels in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.Create, maintain, and independently manage manufacturing travelers and Bills of Material (BOMs) for aerospace components.Monitor material flow, identify workflow inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.Track labor hours, material usage, and production throughput data to support planning and optimization.Lead expediting activities to align production with customer delivery schedules and material availability.Collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to secure urgent or time-sensitive materials.Resolve production delays through cross-functional problem-solving.Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.Lead initiatives to streamline material flow and improve overall throughput.Mentor junior expeditors and support training and development.Communicate production status, risks, and updates to management and customers.Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across the department.Skills/AbilitiesProfessional, proactive approach with experience supporting customers and providing accurate part-status updates required.Strong understanding of aerospace and defense manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings and blueprints.Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.Experience with material tracking, lot sizing, and production coordination.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with Production and Purchasing teams.Expeditor I1–2 years of experience in expediting, material coordination, or manufacturing (aerospace preferred). Expeditor IIBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of expediting or production coordination experience in aerospace or defense.Advanced experience with Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing travelers, and MRP systems (FileMaker preferred).Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.Strong negotiation, analytical, and process-improvement skills.Preferred certifications: APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Lean Six Sigma.ScheduleFull-time, day shift(s)Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM -3:30 PM, orMonday -Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM / Every other Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (9/80)CompensationExpeditor I: $21.00-$27.00 per hourExpeditor II: $27.00-$39.00 per hourBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life insuranceDisability, vacation, holiday, sick pay401kPhysical DemandsJob duties are primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office with occasional work conducted in an open warehouse environment with varying temperatures and exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, and chemicals.Prolonged periods of sitting.Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.Occasional periods of standing, walking, bending, and driving.Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 lbs; rarely up to 50 lbs.ITAR RequirementThis  position requires access to information governed by the International  Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
