Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounting Manager to lead our accomplished accounting team. In this role, you will partner closely with our CFO, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Senior Accounting Specialist, and colleagues across multiple departments within our multi‑office organization.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an accounting managerial role with an accounting degree or certification to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Full‑charge, accrual‑based bookkeeping combined with strong managerial leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Serve as a key liaison with department leaders and managers companywide
Maintain and update QuickBooks Desktop on a daily basis
Oversee Accounts Receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections
Manage Accounts Payable processing, including data entry and payments
Handle companywide credit card processing, entry, and reconciliations
Administer payroll processing and oversight, coordinating closely with HR and communicating with employees as needed
Conduct New Hire Orientation presentation on payroll, and answer any questions.
Monitor and report on cash flow to support informed financial decision‑making
Manage tax filings, licenses, and regulatory compliance
Lead, mentor, and support accounting professionals with strong people‑management skills
Review and process contracts as requested
Oversee Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and related financial processes
Perform bank reconciliations and provide financial reporting as directed
Required Skills:
Knowledge of GAAP
Mastery of QuickBooks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, an ability to use core programs—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook—independently to increase workplace productivity. Experience with Santa Cruz a plus.
Understanding of Journal Entries’ and how to prepare them.
Understanding of confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to lead a high preforming team and assign tasks
Ability to pivot quickly in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to retain information, figures and stay focused.
Ability to follow direction, write SOP’s developing new accounting procedures
Ability to work independently and be a team player.

This role is an in-office role with regular collaboration across departments and remote coordination with field teams. Business hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Requires extended periods of computer work, phone communication, email communication, and document handlings.
