Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on GMP & Operations Support Specialist to assist in bringing our facility into GMP-compliant operations. This role is critical to preparing the facility for audits, scaling production, and supporting compliant day-to-day operations.

This position blends GMP documentation and compliance, hands-on facility upgrades, administrative support, and production/extraction assistance as needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, mechanically inclined, compliance-minded, and comfortable working across both office and production environments.

Key Responsibilities
GMP Compliance, Facility Readiness & Upgrades
Assist in bringing and maintaining the facility in compliance with GMP standards, including documentation, cleanliness, workflow, and procedural controls


Support and execute physical facility upgrades required for GMP compliance, including:
Improving material flow and segregation
Assisting with layout changes, labeling, signage, and demarcation
Assembling or installing shelving, racks, partitions, and workstations
Supporting sanitation improvements and environmental controls
Work directly with operations and management to identify GMP gaps and help implement corrective and preventive actions
Assist in the development, organization, and maintenance of:
SOPs
Batch records
Cleaning and sanitation logs
Equipment maintenance and calibration logs
Training and compliance records
Conduct internal walkthroughs and inspections to identify deficiencies and track resolution
Support staff training on GMP practices, documentation standards, and facility protocols
Maintain audit readiness for internal reviews and third-party inspections



Administrative & Operational Support
Manage and organize compliance-related documentation (digital and physical)
Perform data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting related to production and compliance
Support inventory tracking, material intake logs, and chain-of-custody documentation
Assist with scheduling, task tracking, and cross-department coordination
Ensure administrative follow-through on operational and compliance initiatives



Extraction & Production Support (As Needed)
Assist with extraction and production operations under supervision (training provided if necessary)
Support preparation, setup, cleanup, and documentation for extraction runs
Handle raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods in accordance with SOPs
Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and documentation during all production activities
Follow all safety, GMP, and facility protocols at all times
Support continuous improvement efforts within production workflows



Qualifications
Required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records
Comfort working in both administrative and hands-on production environments
Ability to manage regulated documentation and confidential information
Basic computer proficiency (Google Workspace, Excel, or similar tools)


Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with GMP, GxP, or regulated manufacturing environments
Experience in cannabis, hemp, food, pharmaceutical, or supplement production
Familiarity with extraction processes or lab/production environments
Experience assisting with SOP creation, audits, or compliance programs
Mechanically inclined or prior experience supporting facility build-outs or upgrades


Facility & Mechanical Aptitude (GMP Support)
Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing basic facility upgrades and improvements in support of GMP compliance
Able to assist with non-licensed facility tasks such as:
Installing shelving, racks, signage, barriers, and labeling
Assembling workstations and organizing production areas
Supporting layout changes and workflow improvements
Performing minor repairs, adjustments, and general facility upkeep
Able to safely use basic hand tools and equipment
Understands when to escalate work requiring licensed contractors and supports coordination rather than performing restricted work


Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work on the production floor and in office environments
Ability to lift up to approximately 40 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, and perform light manual labor for extended periods
Must comply with PPE, safety, and sanitation requirements
