Job Description
OVERVIEW
We are seeking 2-3 energetic and welcoming individuals to join the Sarah's Silks team as a part-time Shopkeeper of our new storefront in The Barlow in Sebastopol! Shopkeepers act as a representative of the Sarah’s Silks brand. This position will be responsible for engaging with customers, completing sales, and maintaining the organization and layout of the space, as set by the Store Manager.
Other details: We are looking to have 2-3 individuals filling this position. Flexible schedules and availability to cover shifts for others is strongly preferred.
Available shifts are:
~ Mon - Fri, 1 pm - 6 pm
~ Tues & Thur, 10 am - 2 pm
~ Sat & Sun, 10 am - 6 pm
Anticipated Hours: 15 -20 hours per week
Pay range: $18 - $22 per hour
DUTIES
~ Maintain a beautiful and welcoming environment for all customers, including children
~ Assist customers with products
~ Complete sales transactions using the Shopify POS
~ Educate community members that drop in about the brand, our products, and imaginative play
~ Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
~ Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
~ Previous retail or customer service experience
~ Cashier/cash handling experience preferred
~ General understanding of imaginative play/toys, or Waldorf and/or Montessori education a plus
~ Verbal communication skills and attention to detail
~ Experience with GSuite and Shopify POS (or similar POS platform)
~ Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as with a team
~ High school diploma or GED required
