Functional Fitness Products is a growing commercial fitness equipment and flooring company specializing in full gym builds for studios, gyms, schools, and facilities.

We are expanding our in-house installation team and are looking for a local, hands-on installer who wants steady work, skill growth, and a long-term role.

👉 This position is for applicants currently living in Ventura County or nearby.
👉 Out-of-area applicants will not be considered.

Position Overview

This is a field-based installation role focused on:

Commercial flooring installation (primary)

Commercial gym equipment delivery & installation (secondary, training provided)

You’ll work as part of a small, tight crew on full gym build projects. This is not a desk job and not residential work.

Primary Responsibilities

Install commercial flooring systems including:

Glue-down rolled rubber

Interlocking rubber tile

Athletic turf

LVT / resilient flooring (as needed)

Assist with:

Gym equipment delivery

Assembly and installation of commercial fitness equipment

Load/unload materials and equipment

Work efficiently to meet project timelines

Travel to job sites throughout Southern & Central California
(occasional overnight travel required – hotel provided)

Maintain clean, professional job sites

Follow install leads and company standards

Who This Role Is For

Someone who lives locally and wants steady, hands-on work

A flooring installer, flooring helper, or construction installer

Someone comfortable with:

Physical work

Tools

Team-based jobsites

Someone open to learning both flooring and gym equipment installation

Required Qualifications

Must currently live in Ventura County or nearby

Some experience in one or more of the following:

Commercial flooring

Flooring helper work

Construction / installation work

Reliable transportation

Ability to lift heavy materials and work full days

Willingness to assist with gym equipment installs

Gym flooring or gym equipment experience is a plus, but NOT required.

Compensation & Growth

Starting pay: $3,000 per month

Initial ramp-up phase as install volume increases

Pay increases tied to:

Install speed

Skill development

Reliability

Increased responsibility

Opportunity to grow into a Lead Installer / Crew Lead role

Work Environment

Based out of Ventura County

Commercial projects across Southern & Central California

Occasional overnight travel

Physical, hands-on role (not remote, not hybrid)
