Hourly Assistant Restaurant Manager

Busy, well-established restaurant in New Haven is seeking an *hourly restaurant manager* to oversee opening and/or closing shifts.

Responsibilities include:

* Opening and/or closing the restaurant
* Actively managing the floor during service
* Assisting staff as needed: running food, clearing tables, resetting, and supporting service
* Providing warm, personable guest service and table touches
* Holding staff accountable and leading by example
* Preventing staff congregating and maintaining professional standards
* Ensuring food and beverage quality, timing, and presentation
* Managing cash handling, reports, and end-of-shift procedures

Qualifications:

* Prior restaurant, restaurant management or strong supervisory experience
* Hands-on, service-focused leadership style
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
* Strong communication and multitasking skills
