Quesos on 4th is a new, locally owned food spot in downtown Tucson serving Mexican-American fusion quesadillas and elote. We are a small kitchen with a simple menu and fresh ingredients, focused on quality, consistency, and good vibes.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Line Cook / Kitchen Team Member who can work independently and handle solo shifts. This role includes cooking, light prep, cashiering, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. Ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced but manageable kitchen and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook quesadillas and elote according to recipes and standards

Perform basic food prep (chopping, portioning, stocking)

Operate the POS and handle cashier duties accurately

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation

Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control

Follow all food safety and health guidelines

Open and/or close the kitchen when scheduled

Work efficiently during solo shifts

Assist with restocking and light cleaning as needed

Qualifications

Line cook or kitchen experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)

Ability to work independently and manage solo shifts

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Comfortable multitasking (cooking + cashiering)

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Food handler’s card required (or willingness to obtain)

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay: Arizona minimum wage

Performance and reliability review after 60 days

Raises discussed based on performance, reliability, and consistency
