Structural Steel Fabrication Shop - Shop Helper/Laborer

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Fabricate and weld structural steel components (beams, columns, base plates, etc.).
• Build miscellaneous metal items including handrails, guardrails, embeds, lintels, and custom metal work.
• Assist with Fabricate metal stairs and stair components (stringers, treads, landings, etc.).
• Operate shop equipment such as saws, drill presses, ironworkers, and shears.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds and assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance program participation.
• Labeling all welds and connections with initials to assure chain of custody of materials.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Clean as needed
• Assist with Shop needs, as required.
