Conventional manual machinist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to have expertise in operating various machines to produce precision parts. Including but not limited to Horizontal milling machinery, vertical turning Machinery, standard manual mills, lathes, radial arm drill presses.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine the machining process
- Use tools such as bore gauges and hand tools to ensure quality control
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and machining processes
- Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols on blueprints
- Conduct machining operations including drilling, milling, turning, and grinding
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards

Absolute requirements!!

- 5yrs minimum proficiency in operating machining equipment and power tools, including but not limited to manual lathes, conventional mills, horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathe.
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Familiarity with GD&T principles
- Ability to fabricate parts based on specifications

-Fork lift Experience a requirement

- Overhead crane experience an plus
- MSHA certifications a plus
