THE COMPANY: The LaBrada Group, Inc. is an established owner-operator property management firm with its Corporate office in Upland and a satellite office in Hemet. We have been in business since 1997 – 29 years. We manage approximately 900+ Single Family, Townhome, Condo and Multi-Family doors across the Inland Empire and Eastern Los Angeles County with a staff of 16.

THE POSITION: Maintenance Technician based out of our Upland Office.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The position provides maintenance & repair services to properties we manage and support to our property management team.
• Completion of general inspections, maintenance & repair tasks including service requests and turnover functions.
• Basic Plumbing – bathroom, kitchen and laundry room plumbing issues such as leaky faucets, plunging & snaking toilets, repairing running toilets, changing wax rings, repairing inner functions of toilets, garbage disposal repair/replace, faucet replace, water heater repair etc.
• Painting – touch up painting, including wall preparation, sanding and color matching, drywall repair
• Electrical Work – switches, plugs, ballasts, bulbs, circuit breaker testing, exhaust fans
• Lock replacements, adjustments and bolt installations, window locks, and key latches.
• Appliance delivery & installation
• General cleaning and dumping trash
• Running basic errands to support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Possess (at your cost) and be able to use a smart phone for texting, photos and calls.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with tenants, some often hostile.
• 4 year experience in handyperson services, preferably in the property management sector
• Spanish speaking is helpful.
• Friendly, clean, positive attitude , ability to be prompt, reliable, solve problems,
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up stairs items as large as refrigerators.. Frequent walking, bending, lifting & climbing stairs etc.
• Clean background, clean driving record, pass a drug test, valid California Drivers License, proof of insurance.
• Helpful if candidate has their own tools. Some tools provided

TRANSPORTATION: Company vehicle provided for business use.

BENEFITS: Company offers after 120 day probationary period health coverage and paid holidays. Additionally, you can accrue up to 6 days of sick paid time off. One week paid vacation after one year.

COMPENSATION & HOURS: $23.00-$25.00 per hour with review after probationary period. Hours are Monday thru Friday 9am to 5:30pm. Overtime: Some weekend and evenings required. Must be available for some emergency calls.
