Chef Assistant

PS Soulful Eats is a new and growing catering company serving private health organizations with fresh, high-quality meals and exceptional service. We are seeking a dependable and passionate Sous Soul Chef (Chef Assistant) to help us build something special from the ground up.

This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to grow into a longer-term or full-time position based on performance and company growth.

About the Role:
You will work directly with the Lead Chef to prepare daily meals for up to 25 individuals across three locations. This role requires professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist with daily food preparation and cooking

Portion and package meals with consistency and care

Deliver meals to up to three locations

Represent the company professionally during deliveries

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards

Support setup, breakdown, and daily operations

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred

Culinary training is a plus

Passion and dedication to cooking strongly encouraged

Strong customer service and communication skills

Valid driver’s license

Active vehicle insurance

Reliable vehicle for deliveries

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Additional duties related to kitchen and catering operations may be assigned as needed
