Machine Operator Trainee

The Machine Operator - trainee is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for supporting roll-forming operations in our rack manufacturing facility.
This role includes a structured training period. Upon successful completion of training and demonstration of the ability to operate machinery independently and meet production standards, the employee will receive a wage increase while maintaining the same job title.

Training & Responsibilities

Assist with machine setup and preparation for production runs.
Load raw materials (metal coils and components) into roll-forming equipment.
Support machine adjustments and changeover under supervision.
Monitor production flow and report irregularities.
Perform basic quality inspections and measurements.
Move raw materials and finished rack components safely.
Stack, bundle, label, and prepare products for shipment.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
After successful training, operate machinery independently while supporting overall production goals.

Wage Progression
Employees who successfully complete the training period and demostrate competency in safe and independent machine operation, maintaining quality standards, meeting production expectations, and following safety and operational procedures will be eligible for a performance-based wage increase.

Manufacturing or General Labor Experience Preference
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong Attendance and Reliability
Mechanical Aptitude and Willingness to Learn
Forklift experience is a plus
