Job Description

Shadow Mountain Golf, a public golf course renowned for its tropical ambiance, is seeking intelligent, outgoing, and friendly individuals to join our dynamic team. Opportunities are available at the Flamingo Tiki Bar, Geno’s Pavilion Bar, and The Birdy Bar and Grill, offering shifts mid-day, evening, and Banquets.

Our FOOD RUNNER is essential to our restaurant, responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to customers, ensuring timely service, and enhancing the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Delivery: Your primary duty as a food runner is to deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately. They ensure that the food is presented well and meets the restaurant's standards for quality and temperature.
Communication: Food runners act as a bridge between the kitchen staff and waitstaff. You need to communicate effectively to ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly and relay any special requests or dietary restrictions from customers to the kitchen.
Table Setup and Cleanup: Assist in setting up tables with the appropriate utensils, plates, and condiments before guests arrive. After meals, food runners are responsible for clearing used dishes and maintaining a clean dining area.

2. Customer Interaction: While delivering food, you may interact with customers, providing information about menu items, answering questions, and ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable dining experience.

3. Maintaining Cleanliness: Help keep the kitchen and dining areas organized and clean, which is crucial for food safety and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Food runners need to be physically fit, as the job requires standing for long periods and moving quickly between the kitchen and dining areas.

Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills are essential for relaying information accurately between the kitchen and waitstaff.

Attention to Detail: You must pay close attention to orders to ensure accuracy and presentation.
