Job Description

We’re an Osaka-inspired sake bar in Los Angeles built around Japanese stand-bar culture — great sake, tight menu, high standards, no ego.
We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who will also be the primary cook during service. This is a working position — not an office job. You’ll be on the line, leading prep, cooking the majority of service, and helping keep the kitchen organized and dialed in. Roughly 40 hours a week to start. (Thursday - Sun for an extended soft open)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Running daily prep and service
Cooking the majority of tickets during shifts
Managing inventory and ordering
Organizing storage and maintaining par levels
Keeping food cost under control
Helping refine systems as we grow
Maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen

The Menu:
Small, focused, Japanese-inspired bar food. Simple but done properly. Execution matters.

Who You Are:
Strong line cook with leadership experience
Organized and detail-oriented
Calm under pressure
Comfortable working in a small kitchen
Not afraid of systems, lists, and structure
Takes pride in consistency
Interested in Japanese food/culture (big plus)
This is a small team. We need someone who wants responsibility and ownership — not someone just looking to clock in and out.
