About Us

ARBICO Organics has helped growers, gardeners, and agricultural producers use natural and biological solutions since 1979. We raise and distribute beneficial insects and organisms used in agriculture and pest management across the United States.

We are looking for a dependable, hard-working team member to join our Insectary Production Team. This is a hands-on, physically active role — ideal for someone comfortable working with living organisms and not afraid of repetitive labor.

Position Overview

The Insectary Production Technician assists in the daily care, propagation, and harvesting of beneficial insects. This role involves physical work, attention to detail, and adherence to strict environmental and cleanliness standards to ensure the health and quality of organisms.

This is not a desk job — expect to be moving, cleaning, lifting, and working with live insects throughout the day.

Daily Responsibilities

Feed, water, and maintain insect colonies
Clean and sanitize production rooms, tools, and containers
Monitor temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions
Prepare rearing materials and growth media
Move trays, racks, and supplies throughout the facility
Follow production schedules and written procedures
Maintain quality control standards
Assist with general insectary and facility upkeep

Physical Requirements

Standing/walking most of the day
Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying (up to 40–50 lbs)
Repetitive hand motions
Working in warm, humid environments
Comfortable working around insects and organic materials

Preferred Background (Not Required)

Animal husbandry
Agriculture or farming
Greenhouse or nursery work
Horticulture
Laboratory tech or biological sciences
Warehouse production or manufacturing
