Overview
We are seeking a Technical Specialist to support merchant onboarding, POS deployments, integrations, and ongoing technical troubleshooting. This role serves as a bridge between merchants, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth implementations and minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with payment hardware, software, and networks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, deploy, and support POS terminals and payment software (including integrated POS systems)
• Assist with merchant onboarding, testing, and go-live support
· Troubleshoot payment processing issues, point-of-sale hardware/software problems, and terminal connectivity for a diverse merchant base.
• Coordinate with processors, banks, ISVs, and third-party vendors
• Document configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps
• Provide technical guidance to merchants and internal teams
• Assist with system testing, certifications, and pilot programs
• Ensure compliance with PCI, card brand, and processor requirements
• Maintain accurate records in databases and follow established procedures for account changes and service setup.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years experience in payment processing, POS support, or technical customer support
• Strong understanding of payment flows (authorization, settlement, funding)
• Experience with POS hardware and software configurations
• Comfortable learning product and service features quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or payment gateways
• PCI DSS or payments-related certifications a plus
