Job Description

We are a high quality and fast paced, family-owned restaurant and tiki bar on the Santa Cruz wharf. We are seeking a Shift Manager for a combination of weekday and weekend shifts. The average shift length is 6hrs. Lunch and dinner availability is preferred. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Our goal is to provide a set schedule. Full-time or part-time positions are available. Full time position is a combination of manager shifts and server shifts. Part time position is up to three managing shifts a week, plus coverage.

Duties:
- Oversee daily operations
- Manage and lead team members
- Participate in weekly management meetings
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints with care
- Supervise private events and large party reservations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure safe and responsible serving of alcohol
- Resolve "on shift" errors and issues
- Assist in training of servers, bartenders and support staff
- Keep an accurate daily cash log
- Open and or close/lock up restaurant

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an assistant manager or manager in the hospitality industry or experience as a lead server/lead bartender.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills
-Excellent money handling and data entry skills
- Knowledge of food handling/safety and dietary restrictions
-Knowledge of responsible beverage service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in POS and scheduling software applications related to the industry
- Flexibility and willingness to cover other managing shifts as needed
- Reliable and does not call out of shifts
- Excellent team player
