Production Manager (Woodworking & Pyrotechnic Support)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing of our firework mortar tubes and mortar racks. This isn't just a standard shop job—you’ll be leading a team to build pyrotechnic mortar tubes and racks.
The ideal candidate brings a "master craftsman" approach to woodworking and a "servant-leader" approach to management. You will be responsible for ensuring every piece of equipment is built to exact specifications, on time, and—most importantly—to the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Production Oversight: Manage the end-to-end fabrication of wooden mortar racks and mortar tubes (mainly mortar tubes).
• Team Leadership: Supervise a small crew of rack builders and assembly technicians, providing mentorship, performance reviews, and daily task delegation.
• Quality Control: Implement strict protocols to ensure every mortar tube and rack meets structural integrity requirements for fireworks.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a zero-accident workshop environment. Ensure all production adheres to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Inventory & Logistics: Manage raw material sourcing and coordinate production schedules to meet seasonal demand peaks.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline production through better jigs, optimization, or improved manufacturing principles.

Required Qualifications
• Woodworking Mastery: 5+ years of professional woodworking experience. You must be an expert with table saws, miter saws, drills, and pneumatic tools.
• Leadership Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or shop environment.
• Problem-Solving: A "find a way" attitude when faced with supply chain issues or tight deadlines.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs.
