About the Role
Join RT Construction’s hands on crew building post frame buildings for agricultural, commercial, and residential clients across Johnson City Tennessee and surrounding areas. Perform on site layout, set posts, assemble trusses, install metal roofing and siding, and complete finish work while keeping safety and schedules top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Erect post frame buildings from layout through final trim.
• Set posts and install girts, purlins, and trusses to plan.
• Install metal roofing, siding, flashing, and trim.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and lifts.
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with crew leads to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
• 1 year experience building post frame or pole buildings.
• Proficient with post setting, structural carpentry, truss assembly, and metal panels.
• Basic concrete forming and pouring experience a plus.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varied weather.
• Physically fit to be able to carry 80 pounds and work on uneven ground
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well on a team.
