MTS Mechanic Apprenticeship Program - $24.49/hr

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) offers several Mechanic Apprenticeship Programs:

• Wayside – Electro-Mechanical Technician Apprentice (Assistant Lineman)

• Light Rail Vehicle – Electro-Mechanical Technician Apprentice (Assistant Lineman)

• Trackperson

• Bus Mechanic* (*to apply for the Bus Mechanic Apprenticeship program, candidates must first start out as a Servicer A (Bus Cleaner). Check out our Servicer A (Bus Cleaner) position for more information)

Minimum requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Must have passed Algebra in high school or college with a passing grade of C or better

• An aptitude test will be required following interview

• To be considered for the role, you must submit your California driving record from the DMV to MTS
