Facility Director (Maintenance & Oversight) for Intersect KC at IBCC

Intersect KC provides:
• Life-Giving Resources: Free food, clothing and hygiene products and access to resources like job-training, scholarships, food stamps, medical care, support groups and case management through The Micah Ministry, Care Beyond the Boulevard, and other partners. (~1150 meals served every Monday)
• Life-Enriching Experiences: Concerts and informative conversations during Fruition KC, Films, and Festivals; Intersect Arts classes for performing, instrumental, choral, martial, and yoga arts; theatre productions; neighborhood family events, and hosting Ryogoku Soccer Academy, an innovative nonprofit school for grade 6-12 males using project & community-based learning.
• Life-Transforming Gatherings: Films & Conversations For a Cause; town halls; community organizing; justice summits; listening sessions and public leader engagement.

Intersect KC at IBCC needs a Facility Director to oversee the:
• maintenance and minor repairs of 35K square feet property that is 120 years old,
• coordination of renovations/ contractors,
• supervision of custodian and supply coordinator, and
• some support for events and tenants.

20-25 Hours per week to be scheduled M-Th between 8-4 pm.

Strongly Preferred: experience with carpentry and general repairs.
We appreciate the ability to organize workload, notice what is needed, communicate well with other staff, and share the vision for serving the community.

$21-23/hr

NOTE: We are also seeking a part time custodian. An applicant is welcome to apply for both positions if desiring full-time hours.
